Northern California CANNABIS CONFERENCE knocks it out of the park!

ELEVATED was a 2-Day Conference in That Focused on
Cannabis Compliance Conference for Cultivators and Canna Businesses in California

Out Of The Woods & Into The Future [Rohnert Park, California]: It was a busy weekend for all avenues of the Cannabis Industry being’s that it was the weekend before the widely known April 20, 2016 (420) especially here in California.  ELEVATED was attended by over 400 individuals to gain extensive knowledge about the legal cannabis industry and its future development rules and regulations brought forth by the three bills that make up the Medical Marijuana Regulation and Safety Act AB-266, AB-243, and SB-643.  This conference was designed with the intention of educating and informing canna-businesses, large and small, about current and future legislation involving cannabis production, distribution and sales in California.  Elevated was able to provide a venue where information was exchanged about best-practices and pooling collective strength to present a united front within the cannabis industry.

Opening Keynote Speech by Jim Wood, Assemblyman and Author of AB-243 and AB-21 set the tone for the weekend and confirmed what most have been saying all along:  change is happening now, with or without you.  Session after session ELEVATED speaker workshop panels brought insightful and valuable information for navigating any sector of the cannabis industry into a legal and viable business.  Industry leaders were also present such as Hezekiah Allen, Executive Director of California Growers Association who moved from Humboldt County to Sacramento to ensure that Cannabis Cultivators from Northern California world famous growing territories had a voice in the State’s Capital.  Pioneer Lynette Shaw was also present giving Sunday’s keynote opening address.  Coincidently only a few days prior to ELEVATED, Shaw celebrated her recent victory as the Feds withdrew their appeal after 18 years of civil litigation over her permit to sell medical marijuana.  Participating sponsors and exhibitors among many others had booths at nearby HempCon in San Francisco and High Times Cannabis Cup in San Bernardino, CA – but these owners, founders, directors and managers were all present at ELEVATED.

“Today we stand at a crossroads in California. Society’s eyes are being opened to the value of this miraculous medicine, while ages-old prejudices and misconceptions are being set aside. This, my friend, is a double-edged sword. As society’s barriers come down and acceptance rises, government and big-business are taking note and beginning to take actions that will benefit themselves, but which could push out of the industry those of us who have been fighting for recognition of this plant for so many years. The Elevated Conference was about bringing great minds together and creating a network of support for our vastly growing industry. We must stand together, get involved and learn from one another. We cannot afford to sit in the shadows of the black market while government and big business take away the industry our pioneers have worked so hard to establish.”    Quoted from ELEVATED intention statement printed in Event Program.
